We have been rescuing animals since 2009. What started as a simple decision to never buy a pet became a mission to save those no one else would.

The animals you see here were abandoned, injured, and left to suffer. One day, we found four just like them on the street and decided to take them in. That moment changed everything.

Since then, people have continued to leave animals at our door, hoping we can help. Today, more than 100 rescued dogs and cats depend on us, living in a small, improvised shelter that survives only through donations.

We are struggling with debt, food shortages, and the risk of losing our space. But we keep going because if we don’t take care of them, no one will.

Lives we’ve rescued

Thor

He was found tied up in a dark corner, after being abandoned and hit. When we heard about him, we didn’t hesitate, we brought him in and got him the care he desperately needed. Recovery was slow and costly, but he pulled through. The hardship left its mark, and now he’s a strong, guarded soul learning to trust again.

Hannah

Her former family moved away and left her behind, alone and poisoned. As soon as we found out, we rescued her and rushed her to the veterinarian, where she had to stay hospitalized. We went into debt, but she was saved. Her trauma has left her with a strong and difficult temperament.

Lolo

A victim of abuse, Lolo was abandoned as a puppy at the shelter’s door six years ago. He had a fractured femur and had gone days without food. We ran a fundraising campaign so we could afford his surgery. Today he’s doing well, and our hope is to find a loving home for him.

Lineu

Lineu is a true survivor. He was abandoned as a puppy along with his mother and brother. He has been run over three times, poisoned, and we almost lost him to an illness… but now at the shelter he is safe and full of energy.

Margot

Margot was abandoned near the shelter and lived a very sad life. We took her to the veterinarian, and an ultrasound showed she had pyometra (a serious uterine infection). She needed emergency surgery. She recovered well and is now waiting for a family to adopt her.

Mongo

Mongo was beaten and abandoned with a fractured jaw and unable to move. We found him lying on a sidewalk, and against all odds, he survived. He is now undergoing treatment and still needs ongoing care and medical exams.
